Details Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Varanasi- (10 Kms/ 20 Mins. Approx.) Sarnath- (10 Kms/ 20 Mins. Approx.) Varanasi

Upon your arrival at airport/ railway station, meet with our driver and get transferred to hotel & relax. 

After some rest proceed for the excursion tour to Sarnath- 10 Kms away from Varanasi is the fabled place which bears the testimony to its great past where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon to his disciples, expounding the principles of Buddhism. Visit 80 feet tall Gautam Buddha idol, Ruins, Dhamekh Stupa, Dharmarajika Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, Mulagandh Kuti Vihara, Mahabodhi Temple, Buddha Temple, Deer Park- Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon to his disciples at deer park (Rishipattana). Sarnath Museum (National Emblem)
- (Friday closed), Vietnamese Temple, Japanese Temple, Thai Temple and Chinese Temple. Visit famous Varanasi Silk Saree making center.

Optional visit- In evening light & sound show at Dhamekh Stupa (Show tickets on your own cost, show start Timing: 7:30 – 8:00 PM).

Return back to Varanasi. Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 2 Varanasi- (250 Kms/ 06:00 Hrs. Approx.) Bodhgaya

Morning after breakfast check out from hotel and ride to Bodhgaya. On arrival check in to hotel and later visit Mahabodhi Temple, Muchhalinda Pond, Animeshlochana Chaitya, Ratnachankrama or Jewel Walk, Ratnaghar Chaitya, Bodhi Tree (where he attained Enlightment), Great Buddha Statue, Chinese Temple, Thai Temple & Royal Bhutan Monastery. Overnight stay at the hotel.


Day 3 Bodhgaya- (60 Kms/ 01:50 Hrs. Approx.) Rajgir- (15 Kms/ 30 Mns. Approx.) Nalanda- (60 Kms/ 1:50 Hrs. Approx.) Patna

Morning after breakfast check out from hotel and ride to Rajgir. On arrival visit Vishwa Shanti Stupa (World peace Pagoda), Griddhakuta- It was the much loved site of Gautam Buddha where he gave many lessons after attaining enlightenment. To reach the top of Ratnagiri hill, you have to take a ropeway (Ropeway tickets on your own cost).

Venu Vana- the Bamboo Forest, gifted by the Magadha King Bimbisara to Lord Buddha.There is a big pond in the midst of the Venu Vana. It is said that Lord Buddha used to take bath in this pond.

Ajatshatru Fort- It was built by the Magadha King, Ajatshatru during Gautama Buddha’s time. The fort has a stupa which is also known as the Ajatshatru stupa spreading across 6.5 sq. meters. It is said that Lord Buddha resided here during its construction.

Then proceed to Nalanda, on arrival visit ancient Nalanda University, The Great Stupa, Black Buddha Temple and Nalanda Archaeological Museum.

After that ride to Patna. On arrival check in to hotel & overnight stay.


Day 4 Patna- (40 Kms/ 01:30 Hrs. Approx.) Vaishali- (215 Kms/ 05:00 Hrs. Approx.) Kushinagar

Morning after breakfast check out from hotel and visit Buddha Smriti Park- The central attraction of this park is the Stupa, known as Patliputra Karuna Stupa, 200 feet high, situated in the middle of the park.

After ride to Vaishali. On arrival visit Visva santi stupa (World peace pagoda), Ashok Pillar, Ananda Stupa, Kutagarshala Vihara and Abhishek Pushkarn- It’s also known as Coronation Pond contains the ashes of Gautam Buddha.

After proceed ride to Kushinagar. It is the place where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana or the final exit from the earth. On arrival check in to hotel & overnight stay.


Day 5 Kushinagar- (140 Kms/ 03:45 Hrs. Approx.) Lumbini

Morning after breakfast check out from hotel and visit Ramabhar Stupa, also called a Mukutbandhan- Chaitya, is the cremation place of Buddha.

Mahaparinirvana Temple, Nirvana Chaitya (Main Stupa), Sri Lanka- Japan Monastery, Burmese Chandramani Bhikshu Bharamasala, Chinese Temple and Kushinagar Museum.

After proceed ride to Lumbini. In 1997, UNESCO declared Lumbini as a World Heritage site. It is a place where Queen Mahamaya Devi gave birth to Siddharta Gautama in around 563BC. On arrival check in to hotel & overnight stay.


Day 6 Lumbini- (60 Kms/ 01:30 Hrs. Approx.) Kapilvastu- (125 Kms/ 3:00 Hrs. Approx.) Shravasti

Morning after breakfast check out from hotel and visit Maya Devi Temple, Bodhi Tree, Maya Devi Pond, Ashoka Pillar, Myanmar Golden Temple, World Peace Pagoda, Dharma Swami Maharaja Buddha Vihar, Korean Monastery, Cambodian Monastery, Royal Thai Monastery, Sri Lankan Monastery, Zhong Hua Chinese Buddhist Monastery and Lumbini Museum.

After that ride to Kapilvastu. It was the ancient capital of the Shakya Clan, whose ruler ‘Shuddhodhan’ was the father of the Buddha. Gautam Buddha left his palace in Kapilvastu at the age of 29 and revisited it 12 years later, after attaining the Enlightenment. On arrival visit Eastern Stupa, Suddhodana's Palace, Sri Lanka Monastery & Temple and Mahinda Mahavihara.

After that proceed ride to Shravasti. It was one of the six largest cities of India and served as the capital of the Kosala Kingdom. Not only this, it was also a prominent trading centre and center of religious activity by Lord Buddha. On arrival check in to hotel & overnight stay.


Day 7 Shravasti- (150 Kms/ 03:40 Hrs. Approx.) Lucknow

Morning after breakfast check out from hotel and visit Jetvana monastery, Anandabodhi tree, Anathapindika Stupa, Angulimala Stupa, Saheth-Maheth, Ruins of Anandakuti, Gandhakuti and Pakki Kuti.

Later proceed ride to Lucknow. On arrival check in at the hotel & overnight stay.


Day 8 Lucknow- (190 Kms/ 04:45 Hrs. Approx.) Kaushambi- (55 Kms/ 01:30 Hrs. Approx.) Prayagraj

Morning after breakfast check out from hotel then visit Buddha Dharmankur Sabha and Buddha Vihar Temple.

After ride to Kaushambi. A number of archaeological excavations have been carried out in Kaushambi. On arrival visit Buddha Temple, Ashokan Pillar, Stupa, Shyen Chiti, the ruins of ancient fort and the Ghositaram Monastery.

After proceed ride to Prayagraj. On arrival check in to hotel & overnight stay.


Day 9 Prayagraj- (120 Kms/ 02:30 Hrs. Approx.) Varanasi- Departure

Morning after breakfast check out from hotel and ride back to Varanasi. On arrival departure transfer to the airport/ railway station to connect your flight/ train for onward destination.
